I no longer consider this website a finished work, so the formalities have been moved to the background. If interested in those, please peruse the available links.
Back when I officially became a pulpit minister, I sacrificed my informalities to the nature of ministry. Congregations put demands on the ministers and their families that go way beyond Biblical dictates, and the congregation does not require those demands of any other person. That made me very formal, having to watch every word, being very careful about everything, in order to please unyielding critical church expectations.
Over the course of the last five years, I have shed a tremendous amount of that formal pretense and nonsense. I have become a new me. I am more free. Yet capable of articulating Bible and matters of faith in ways I could have only dreamed.
Admittedly, I am not your typical Christian. Yet, I believe in God, Messiah, the Spirit, and the Bible. In a word, I am unorthodox, and I am much happier because of it.
But only since the beginning of 2016 have I felt the ability to truly discuss the last five years, and because the process of learning myself is not finished, I am resuming my personal website. I will share some experiences and discuss some spiritual changes that have happened in my personal life sharing some things that have helped me become the man I am today.
The journey from the guy I was to the guy I am was not easy. It had its challenges and its rewards. Its tears and its joys.
The guy I was, was a very prim and proper, squeaky clean, conservative Christian minister who supported and defended only the matrimony of one husband and one wife.
The guy I am, is a man in tune with a greater spiritual awareness, knowing that God is exacting but not as demanding as I once believed. That knowledge conjoined with the journey of the last five years has brought me to believe in the biblical teaching that a man can have more than one wife, and I am actively writing, praying, and looking for my next wife.
In the coming days, I will be sharing parts of the last five years that helped shape this change. For that information, please visit: My Story
