A Message to the alone of Israel

For the Eve of Shavuot.
(Sunset of June 7 through nightfall of June 9; 6-7 of Sivan, if I understand correctly.)

As you remember and celebrate the giving of the TORAH to your ancestors; the instruction of the Covenant which unites you as a people, let me give you this small reminder of the covenant I, one gentile, have with you. As you fellowship with your family let me send you encouragement from your extended family from across the sea.

You should not be surprised by the state of things; it is not the first time you have been left alone; felt abandoned and forgotten. This is how your Father found you; abandoned from your birth on the road, still covered in the blood of your birth (Ezekiel 16.4-8). You are a people set apart for the glory of G-d; while you are in this world you are not a part of it. Why should you be surprised that the body of this World would reject you? For you have been made foreign to the things of this World.

You have been placed in a land prepared and set apart for you, chosen from all the nations of the world that were and ever would be. The wife of the Creator, set apart and blest as His Bride. It is with YOU that He vowed a marriage Covenant and (from a Christian’s perspective) it is YOU whom bore His only begotten Son, through whom we Gentiles find full peace and rest in our Heavenly Father’s House.

While we in the United States are unique and while we were set apart, we are not Israel. We in the United States have always seen ourselves as the Gentile Israel; we modeled our Nation after the Tribes of Israel as formed by Moses, established by Joshua, and maintained by the Judges, but still we are not Israel. We were not chosen to be the Bride of the Creator.

It is my hope to encourage you in this article that as for me and my House and as for American Christians we, through OUR husband the Messiah Yeshua, will honor you as our Mother-in-Law. We will look to our Father and Mother-in-Law and speak as Ruth did to her own husband’s mother in her time of need:

…”Don’t press me to leave you and stop following you; for wherever you go, I will go; and wherever you stay, I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God will be my God. Where you die, I will die; and there I will be buried. May Adonai bring terrible curses on me, and worse ones as well, if anything but death separates you and me.” (Ruth 1.16-17 CJB)

I invite all the children of Noah who honor the Creator as their Father to pray with me.

LORD, we pray that you watch over your bride Israel. The fires of your Adversary are poised all around ready to rain down upon Her. We ask that throughout the tempest She will maintain full reliance on your Divine Providence, the eternal strength of Her Husband, and will emerge from the fires refined as gold and shining with your glory. Above all, may your will always be made manifest on this Earth as it always is in Heaven. To you, Great Provider, be the glory. So be it (amen).

To the alone of Israel:
May HaShem—your Husband—bless you
As He always has and kept you in His hand, close to His heart.

And have a good day

For this is the day that your Creator has made, rejoice and be glad in it.
