05. I am never upset for the reason I think.

for me, i have been enjoying these lessons.

as for what has occurred, currently that which has been taught by these lessons (1-4) is something which is not new to me. i have learned those lessons some time ago, in some other venue.

as for today’s lesson, lesson 5. i have also learned this lesson, many moons ago. i call it “pulling teeth” meaning that one has to work to get to the root of the problem. most people offer the symptom thinking the symptom is the cause.

long ago, i learned to get to the root of the cause. now, i have a much better understanding of what really makes me upset, personally. but for the sake of the lesson, i continue.

the reason that i think i am upset is not the actual reason.

i am not upset with the computer.

i am not upset with the car.

i am not upset with the building.

objects, they are.

objects, which can not cause me to be upset.

the music i hear never upsets me for the reason i think.

the ideas i hear never upset me for the reason i think.

the words i hear never upset me for the reason i think.

sounds, they are.

sounds, which can not cause me to be upset.
