19. I am not alone in experiencing the effects of my thoughts.

i am not alone in experiencing the effects of my thoughts.

this similar to the previous lesson: i am not alone in experiencing the effects of my seeing (lesson 18).

what i learned in the previous lesson was that my “seeing” does not affect me alone.

therefore it matters that there are times that my thoughts occur prior to me “seeing” and there are times that my “seeing” occurs prior to my thoughts.

in effect, the order of events (thoughts then sight, or sight then thoughts) do not actually matter. that is because the events occur almost concurrently.

that means that thoughts could cause sight, but also that sight could cause thoughts, this means that the two are not separated from each other.

in the previous lesson, i saw that my mind is not completely independent from the mind(s) of others, and their mind(s) are not completely independent from my mind.

in a culture that emphasizes independence, this concept is not something i want to readily accept. why? because they want their sight and thoughts to affect only themselves and i want my sight and thoughts to affect only myself.

yet, it seems that we are connected in ways that we do not understand, which means i am connected to others in ways i cannot fully understand, and they are connected to me in ways i cannot fully understand.

consider the following:
i am not alone in experiencing the effects of this thought about the computer.
i am not alone in experiencing the effects of this thought about the car.
i am not alone in experiencing the effects of this thought about the building.

i am not alone in experiencing the effects of this thought about music.
i am not alone in experiencing the effects of this thought about ideas.
i am not alone in experiencing the effects of this thought about words.

or these:
i am not alone in experiencing the effects of this thought about politics.
i am not alone in experiencing the effects of this thought about religion.
i am not alone in experiencing the effects of this thought about money.

i am not alone in experiencing the effects of my thoughts.

thoughts, they are.

thoughts, that i am not alone in experiencing.

which means:
sights and thoughts, they are.

sights and thoughts, that i am not alone in experiencing.
