39. my holiness is my salvation.

importantly, this lesson builds upon the previous lessons.

since my mind is not separated from god’s mind, then my holiness cannot be separated from god’s holiness.

in essence, since god is holy, and since god is in my mind, it therefore follows that my holiness is derived from god’s holiness.

since my holiness blesses the world (lesson 36), then i have to accept that god’s holiness blesses me directly.

in essence, my holiness cannot bless the world unless i myself am holy.

god is holy, as such god’s holiness blesses me, then my holiness blesses the world.

that simply means, i can not give what i do not have.

for instance, god is not darkness, therefore no darkness from god is in me; therefore since god is holy, the only thing god can give is holiness.

but my mind chooses what i will “see”.

will i “see” darknesses?
because
when I “see” darkness, i bring darkness to the world.

or

will i “see” holiness?
because
when i “see” holiness, i bring holiness to the world.

therefore when i “see” god’s mind in my mind, and “see” god’s holiness in my holiness, then i “see” there is no separation between god and me, and thus since god is holy and has no shame, i too can “see” my self as holy, having no shame, and thus i am free from feeling guilty about me.

why is that true? because unholiness does not reside in god. shame, regret, guilt and unloving thoughts are part of unholiness. but in contrast holiness does not feel shame, regret, guilt, because holiness is love, and love casts out fear (1 john 4.18) and fear is rooted in shame, regret, and guilt.

feeling guilt, or regret, or shame is a type of punishment, which is a type of hell.

that means that “seeing” god’s holiness in me is a type of freedom, a freedom to “see” good and a freedom to do good.

a freedom to enable me to be loosed from guilt, regret, and/or shame, which is my personal hell, which is a conjuring of what my mind “sees”.

consider the following:
my unloving thoughts about the computer are keeping me in hell;
my unloving thoughts about the car are keeping me in hell;
my unloving thoughts about the building are keeping me in hell.

my unloving thoughts about music are keeping me in hell;
my unloving thoughts about ideas are keeping me in hell;
my unloving thoughts about words are keeping me in hell.

my unloving thoughts about politics are keeping me in hell;
my unloving thoughts about religion are keeping me in hell;
my unloving thoughts about money are keeping me in hell.

my unloving thoughts about sexuality are keeping me in hell;
my unloving thoughts about emotionality are keeping me in hell;
my unloving thoughts about family are keeping me in hell.

my unloving thoughts about my personality are keeping me in hell;
my unloving thoughts about my mentality are keeping me in hell;
my unloving thoughts about my physicality are keeping me in hell.

my unloving thoughts about personal relationships are keeping me in hell;
my unloving thoughts about marriage are keeping me in hell;
my unloving thoughts about personal problems are keeping me in hell.

the difficulty is “seeing” that there is no difference between:
my unloving thoughts about the computer are keeping me in hell;
and
my unloving thoughts about sexuality are keeping me in hell.

the difficulty is “seeing” that there is no difference between:
my unloving thoughts about music are keeping me in hell;
and
my unloving thoughts about personal relationships are keeping me in hell.

the common element among all of those unloving situations that are keeping me in hell is my unloving disposition.

unlove is not love, and as such unlove “sees” guilt, regret, shame, or as found in 1 john 4.18, punishment.

love, therefore, does not “see” punishment, or shame, or regret, or guilt.

as such, love “sees” freedom within holiness; as a person, i need to “see” my self as holy and thus to “see” holiness in the world.

therefore, since god has given his holiness to me, then my holiness is my salvation from my unloving thoughts that manifest as guilt, regret, and shame, which is a type of punishment, which is a type of hell.

once i “see” my self as holy, then i can be free from that hell and i can give holiness to the world.
